NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS International Journal on Tourism Research

1. All manuscripts and editorial communications should be addressed to Dr. A.K. Raina, C/o Centre for Tourism and Heritage Research, Dayanand College, Ajmer - 305001. INDIA.

2. The Journal appears once a year and publishes a wide variety of articles relevant to tourism and travel management in all its aspects. Articles are considered on any aspect of tourism, research, theory or education. Major articles should not exceed 6000 words in length and, in addition, shorter articles are welcomed. Research notes providing a digest of research findings can be included, but should not exceed 2500 words. Although the bulk of the Journal's readership is within the South Asian Countries it also has a substantial international readership and papers from overseas are welcomed. Assessment is anonymous. Please write authors' names on a title page and refer to any self-citations as 'author's own' in both text and bibliography until publication.

3. Preparation of manuscripts
Please state number of words on front of Type scripts.
Articles must be typed, double-spaced throughout on A4 paper, allowing good margins.
Spelling must be consistent within an article, either British usage (Shorter Oxford
English Dictionary) or American (Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary). Spelling in references should follow the original.
The following format and conventions should be observed:
(a) Title page. The title should be relevant and indicate the major issues examined. Authors should provide a brief biographical note (not more than 100 words) and an address for correspondence.
(b) Summary. A summary should be included of no more than 200 words.
(c) References. 'Authors are asked to pay particular attention to the accuracy and correct presentation of references (see below). In-text references should be cited by giving the author's name, year of publication (Smith, 1928) and specific page numbers after a direct quotation. In-text lists of references should be in chronological order.

MULTI-AUTHOR ARTICLE
Where there are more than two authors, the reference within the text should be cited as Smith et al. and the date, but include all the authors in the reference list.

4. Articles must be original. If any of the material has been published or submitted elsewhere, this must be made clear when the article is submitted.

5. It is a condition of publication in the Journal that authors assign copyright to South Asian Journal on Tourism and Heritage. This ensures that requests from third parties to reproduce articles are handled efficiently and consistently and will also allow the article to be as widely disseminated as possible. In assigning copyright, authors may use their own material in other publications, provided
that the Journal is acknowledged as the original place of publication.

6. The Editorial Board do not hold themselves responsible for views expressed.

7. Books to be considered for review should be sent to the Publisher.

8. Subscription to the journal should be made by sending cheque or draft in the name of Centre for Tourism and Heritage Research c/o Dr. A.K. Raina, Dayanand College Ajmer-305001. INDIA
